FINTEL hosts CTO course on Fibre-Optics
A week long course on “Fibre Optic Access Network and Principles of Optical Multiplexing and Radio” organized by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO) for Pacific Island countries was hosted by FINTEL at the Suva’s JJ’s on the Park Hotel from 27-31 July, 2009. Mr Jabu MDaka from South Africa Telecom conducted the course which was attended by participants from Solomon Telekom, Tonga Telecom, Telecom Fiji and FINTEL. The course was opened by FINTEL’s Manager Network & Technology, Mr Ioane Koroivuki and closed by Fiji Government’s Permanent Secretary for Communications, Mrs Taina Tagicakibau.
