Inter-connectivity rates between mobile to mobile and/or fixed to mobile networks have been reduced by 1 cent from 18 cents to 17 cents.
Incoming international calls (fixed and mobile) termination rates have increased from 23 cents to 30 cents.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said that the increase of 7 cents will not only benefit the service providers but the 3 cents from the increase will be diverted to government which would generate approximately $3.5 million annually and 4 cents would be retained by the telecommunication operators.
He said the 3 cents would be used in the ICT development in the country.
The interconnect price determination is backdated to and effective from 17 November, 2010.
