KIDANET launch in Nadi & Lautoka
14 May, 2010.
KIDANET, subsidiary of FINTEL, and providing Internet Services today formally launches its operation in the Nadi and Lautoka region with a function held at the Denarau and Racquet Club Nad for its customers. It also marks the completion of the west expansion project.
THREE years after they were established in Suva, KIDANET has finally expanded to the Western Division. Despite a 15-month delay in their expansion project the company is confident that its service and products will gain popularity over its rivals.
KIDANET has so far managed to secure 76 corporate customers in its first month of operation in the Western Division.
Chief guest at the launch, FINTEL chairman Bob Lyon stressed the need to respond to what customers wanted.
"Gone are the days where the market was driven by internal preferences of the service provider," he said. "Today, service providers are driven by what the people want.
"Customers do not really care how the company delivers the products. All they care about is that they get what they want."
KIDANET Chief Executive Jone Wesele said the delay was the result of the enormity of work required to set up base stations at Monasavu and Lololo, which required land leases.
"We still believe that it took us less time to expand to the west compared to our competitors," he pointed out. Even though we had a bit of delay in our project, we still arrived here faster than our competitors."
He said the decision to expand to the west was based on consumer demands and customer complaints on the quality of service provided by their competitors.
