In a media release today, Fintel stated that the reports of disruptions on internet service faced by Connect customers being attended to by Fintel technicians at Fintel's international switch, is false and misleading. Fintel Manager Commercial and Business Development, Mr George Samisoni, said that "the issue with disruptions to Connect Internet service is between Telecom Fiji (bandwidth supplier for Connect), and its only proposed Australian partner. All other ISP's, Unwired, Kidanet, Vodafone, Digicel and corporate clients interconnecting direct with Fintel remain unaffected".
